U-12 recap as reported by Coach John McElroy

It was a great day if rugby. They played 6 nine minute games , mostly in the rain. The U12s Won 2 and tied up 3 games.

One particular highlight was Gabe's brilliantly timed offload , which Josh ran onto catching it and scored a try in the last game of the day against Morris. There was Christian Rebimbas picking and going hitting the gain line every time. Sean McElroy and Finn Hearne took turns at Scrumhalf. Gabe was hooker most of the time. Logan Fernandes was a tackling machine stopping the attacking team many times. Declan Tynan had some great tackles while his brother Fionn Tynan had some great runs.

U14 recap as reported by coach Owain Rees

On Sunday March 31, the U14's played a round robin against Pelham, Morris, Rockaway, Play Rugby USA, and South Shore (LI).  Under the leadership of captains Jack Hearne and Aaron Renavitz the Mudturtles won 3 games and lost two.  One key to their success was our exceptional defensive line speed, which was very effective in putting pressure on our opponents creating turnover ball.  One offense, we were able to maintain possession and go through the phases through the powerful rucking of Brandon Love and Liam Klein, which lead to some great tries by Ethan Composto, Manny Faxas,  Elijah Ignacio & Matt Froden.  William O'Donnell earned our man of the match for his hard work in being in the right position all over the pitch throughout each game.  Overall, it was a fantastic team effort and a great start to the season.
