Attention all youthtackle players ...

We are excited to announce that the 2021 rugbyseason is officially underway! Here’s the information you need to get yourplayer signed up:

REGISTRATION 

Registration for theUnion County Mudturtles is now open and can found via the nearby link:

All players also needto register with USA Rugby which can be found here: https://usarugby.sportlomo.com/. You will need toprovide insurance information, player photo and student ID. 

PRACTICE 

Our preseason for middle schoolers and HSplayers starts off with indoor strength training at the CrossFit Treehouselocated at 725 Lexington Avenue in Kenilworth. Right now, it will take place onthe following dates: 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10 and 4/17 (note thatthese dates are open to change slightly.) Given social distancing, we willseparate the kids into two sessions (middle school: 6:00-6:45pm) and (HS:6:45-7:30pm). Right now, the groups are capped at 20 so it’s on a first-come,first-served basis. We will send a signup sheet each week. You will be contacted by email if you fill out theform after the 20-people limit is reached. All players need to wear masks on theirarrival. If you’re name is not on the form, you will not be able to enter thefacility.

As the outdoor fieldsbecome cleared of snow, we will look to host practice outside as well and willpost those changes on the website. 

SPRING SEASON

At this point, thecompetitive season is slated to start around April 17 and end by the end ofMay. As with all things associated with the pandemic, we all need to beflexible throughout the coming weeks. Coaches will communicate updates as soonas they can.
